Why Counseling?

Most people learn how to deal with a certain amount of stress or certain kinds of problems in their lives and generally function well. Sometimes, however, there can be an overload with a lot of different things happening all at once or we are faced with a problem we've never had to face before...it feels like too much! Sometimes we are faced with difficult choices which are new to our experience and no matter what we do, nothing seems to work...we feel frustrated, confused, depressed or alone!

Often, those closest to use are either part of the problem or they want to tell us what we should do, when what we really want is someone to listen and help us sort out for ourselves, what our unique answer is. This is when someone "outside" the issue who is trained to listen and problem solve, can be helpful.
